What is Placement Saturday?
Students are invited for a class taught by our Company staff. From these classes, students will be placed into their Company line for the 2024-2025 season! Students will be taken through a warm up, and a combination will be taught in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap if applicable. Students will be asked to perform these combinations in small groups.
What is the cost?
It does cost $10.00 to cover the cost of the staff’s time to teach these classes.
What are we looking for?
Staff will be taking note of students behavior from the moment they step through the doors. Being on company is about more than dance ability. Our company dancers are looked up to by our younger dancers and should be the best behaved students in the studio. Staff is looking at not only their dance ability, but their willingness to learn and grow as a dancer. If they are able to attempt things they may not know how to do. If they are respectful to other dancers as well as staff. Many factors play into what it takes to be a company member.

Before Placement Saturday, we will send out a survey from google for anyone interested in the competition team for 2024-2025. Please pay close attention as the rules have changed for this. During this class time we will also be looking for dancers who will be invited a call back audition. The purpose of this call back is to evaluate dancers further as well as be assured of the commitment it takes to join the competition team. During the Call back more detailed information will be gone over with parents while the student is dancing.
Parents are invited to join Miss Alison for an information meeting to discuss what it means to be in company, as well as the competition team during placement Saturday.
Monday June 10th, Company Placements will be sent out via E-mail. Summer classes will begin June 17th IN your company class.
You will then be able to accept your spot on the line and team you were placed in!
